Albumkin Sign in
A crowd of friends all holding up their phones to photograph the same moment at dusk

Bring everyone's trip photos together in one shared album.

Send a link. Your family and friends sign in and add photos from their phones. No app to install.

How it works

  1. 1

    Make an album.

One for the trip, the wedding, the weekend. It takes about ten seconds.

  2. 2

    Send the link.

Paste it in the group chat. They open it on their phone and sign in, or make a free account right there. No app to install.

  3. 3

    Everyone adds their photos.

Straight from their phone, sharper than the group chat. Everyone's photos sit together in one album, in the order they were taken.

What you get

Everyone's photos, together.

One album for the trip, day by day, credited to whoever took each photo.

See everywhere you went together.

Photos with location show where you went.

Play it back with music.

The album becomes a story: a short you can drop straight back in the group chat.

For Mac people · optional

Clean up your phone, too.

Got 40,000 photos on your phone? Plug it into your Mac, and Albumkin copies everything to your own drive, checks it twice, and helps you clear the screenshots and junk. Free. Stays on your machine.

Free while in beta

Shared albums are free right now.

Shared albums live in the cloud, and the cloud costs money. While Albumkin is in beta, it's free. Later there will be paid plans with fair storage limits, and you'll know well before anything changes. The Mac tool stays free: it uses your own disk.

Questions

The short version.

Do my friends need the app or an account?

No app. The link opens in the browser on any phone. They make a quick account right there, a name, an email and a password, so only the people you shared with can see the photos, and they add theirs from the same page.

Is it good quality?

Sharp enough for a big screen or a print, and much better than WhatsApp. Your originals stay on your phone (or your Mac).

Who can see my photos?

Only the people you shared it with, each signed in to their own account. Nothing is shown to anyone without one, and nothing is indexed by search engines.

What does it cost?

Nothing while we're in beta. Paid plans with fair storage limits come later, and you'll hear about them before anything changes.

Where are the photos stored?

Shared albums sit in private cloud storage in the EU, behind your login. The Mac tool keeps everything on your own drive and never uploads it.
